As part of the megaproject of the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec (linking the Gulf of Mexico with the Pacific Ocean), the government will modernize a 132-kilometer stretch of railroad to reduce travel times, increase trains speed, reduce cost and diversify the offer by enabling the transfer of cargo and passengers (developed by COMSA Spanish company).
